I apply a needs-driven approach to process, utilizing a combination of automation, training, and delegation. Where policy is needed, I ensure you have the protection you need with minimal complexity and without reinventing the wheel.
Downsizing is a painful necessity at some point for many businesses, including the most successful. Drawing on my own experience at both sides of the table, my goal is to help you land the necessary changes compassionately, setting all parties up for future success.
How we’ll work together
Depending on your company size and the stage of your business, your HR needs will be different.
50-100 people
We’ll start with a short consultation and I’ll help you evaluate your needs and risk factors. As a small company you will already be covered for some areas by your existing leadership team. My job is to help you identify the gaps and fill them efficiently with solutions including carefully selected service providers, customized training materials, strategic planning, and mentorship. Together we will make sure you are prepared for the next stage in your organization’s development.
100-300 people
At this point you likely have essential HR processes in place and are looking for ways to streamline and develop your organization. HR leadership introduced at the right moment will help you avoid costly missteps down the road, but can still be hard to justify in pure ROI terms. I will work with your team to identify high-value strategic changes customized to your organization, such as best-in-class performance management, employee engagement, and leader development. Where appropriate I will build out or mentor your in-house HR team, with the goal of developing a self-contained team and HR lead - although I will always be available for ongoing support.
300-500 people
Some companies in this category have scaled rapidly and are playing catch-up, in which case I will first address the highest priority issues while working with your leadership team to implement a longer-term strategic plan.
Other companies have an established workforce and are looking to unlock latent potential.
